These drawings were collected from 83 artists in 2007 and 2008 at various comics conventions. They depict various characters that (with a few exceptions) were used or mentioned in the fan-fiction series Tales of the Twilight Menshevik – most are from Marvel comics and copyright by Marvel, some are from DC comics and copyright by DC, and some are original characters that are copyright by Tilman Stieve. The “normal” 78 cards of the deck are here supplemented by four additional ones occasioned by the Simpsons episode “Lisa’s Wedding”, in which a tarot deck is shown to include the cards “The Happy Squirrel” (XXIII) and “The Fiancé” (XXV). And there is also a design for the back or reverse of the cards. For the sake of uniformity and because the Italian tarocchi deck historically is the oldest form of the game, the cards are labeled in Italian.
