As a scientist/engineer for 35+ years, regardless of the politics, I find the most basic violation of the scientific method, the falsification of data and the jury-rigging of the publishing and peer-review process -- revealed by the leaked emails and files from the University of East Anglia's Climatic Research Center -- to be completely unacceptable and indefensible.

Until such cheating is rooted out (condemned *and* punished), climate warming cannot claim to be anything except junk science, to be made fun of.

(And to think I used to regret not getting into climate modelling!)
