Douglas Ramsey's Diary [8/18] by Benway Warning: This story is not very nice, but then the world isn't very nice either. If want escape, read elsewhere. This story is not intended for children of any age. Some characters in this story belong to Marvel. Everything else belongs to me. *************************************************** March 20/89 I am in the hospital again. They gave me a needle and I couldn't think right so I didn't write in my diary. This is what happened. I went to Mrs. Pavic's house for dinner, and she made me watch the news while we were eating. There was a thing on the news about a riot in Latvia, and they showed some people being killed. I tried to look away, but Mrs. Pavic grabbed me and made me watch. She said that communists were bad and that I had to watch and see for myself. I ran away into the woods behind her house. I hid there. Some people were out looking for me, but I was afraid they would punish me if they found me. I saw my Mrs. Pavic's shoe as she passed by calling for me, but I didn't say anything. It was cold at night, but I had a sweater and I stayed hidden all through the next day and the next night. I was too afraid to move. They brought in some dogs and found me the next day. My Dad didn't come to see me in the hospital, but he talked to me on the phone. He doesn't like me. If I was him, I wouldn't have done that. I would have kept things under control. He hasn't told Mom.
