I've told her I'm going over to Willow's to study. Mom never has a clue. I've found that I can fit a pointed stake inside the rings of my Commerce binder. All it takes is a little bit of tape so that it doesn't fall out at the wrong time. I learned that the hard way. We're not really going studying, we're going hunting. With Buffy. She's new. She hangs out with that new librarian, the one who lets us call him Giles. She says she's the Slayer, that she's supposed to be chosen to kill vampires. She says there should be lots here, because we're near the Hellmouth. Will said they call the creek that because they couldn't spell Hall Mouth back then, but Giles says it's because we live over the mouth of Hell. He also says he's on some sort of council, but I think he's nuts. I don't think he's with Buffy or anything like that, the way he looks at me sometimes, but I want to be with her. Oh, do I ever want to be with her. So, I play along. There was a vampire here, two years ago. It wasn't someone anybody knew, just some guy off the bus. The Sents showed up and arrested lots of people. They found some vamps hiding in some union hall where all those Mexicans who work in the wineries used to hang out. Buffy says there's more, and so we're going hunting. I've got the cross, I've got the Holy Water, we've all got garlic, and Willow says she has something special planned for tonight. Willow's been up to something. Ever since she started hanging out with that chick Tara, she's been making hints about magic and stuff. I know I'm supposed to report it, but I know Will's not a monster. I've known her all my life. I'm not going to tell, no matter how much it might get me in trouble. I'm going hunting, and I'm going to watch Buffy getting all sweaty hauling that big-ass crossbow all over the mountain. Then, I'm going home to teach Captain Picard some respect.
