THE ORIGINAL TEAM

The Original team, first gathered by Moira consisted of 6 members of various ages and is shown here shortly after their graduation from the MacTaggert Institute of Mutant Studies at Muir Island in Scotland. The team (from left to right)consited of:

Scott Right: Codenamed Micromax, Scott had the ability to control his size and mass in proportion to his ego. Micromax was also the team's public relations expert and did his best to ensure the media always presented the X-Men in a favourable light.

Sean Cassidy: Codenamed Banshee for his mastery of the sonic scream, Sean was the original team's field leader and helped Moira found the school. This led to the begining of a long running romantic involvement with Moira. The team worked well under Sean's leadership, however he and Pete Wisdom often argued and, although they both eventually came to count on each other as trusted commrades, Banshee continued to harboured reservations about Wisdom's attitude towards the team.

Elizabeth Braddock: Gifted with powerful psychic powers, 'Betsy' Braddock acted as the teams telepath under the codename of Psylocke. While at the school, Moira helped her to develop and channel her powers into formidable psychic blades for use in combat.

Pete Wisdom: Both the most reluctant and most commited member of the original team, Pete's ability was to generate slivers of energy hotter than the sun, known as 'hot-knives'. Following graduation, Pete dumped the codename of Fire-blade that MacTaggert had insisted he use while in training and replaced the stupid looking costume he had been forced to wear, with a normal set of everyday clothes.

Brian Braddock: Brian was Betsy's older brother and owner of the mantle of Captain Britain. Although not a mutant, brian started out as a very inexperianced super hero and Moira offered him a place on the team so that he could learn to better control his powers. Brian acted as the original teams mechanical genius and helped Moira develope M-Tag, the team's mutant tracking and identifcation computer.

Meggan: An elemental mutant changeling, Meggan joined the team along with her life love Brian Braddock. Initially iliterate, Moira set about her education and trained her in the full use of her mutant elemental powers.
