Part Two

Ok...Chapter two...way to go, no one's dead yet....

Running to Bobby's side, Emma knelt down next to the Shi'ar based bio-bed. Although she was one of the most powerful telepaths on Earth, Emma was having trouble reading Bobby's thoughts. All of his memories, ideas and hopes were jumbled together, like a water color painting that had run. Bobby's memories of first joining the X-Men ran together with his thoughts of first meeting Jubilee. The images of Opal, Bobby's ex-girlfriend, appeared to have mixed with images of Storm and Rogue. Bobby was definitely in a coma.

Emma knew what she had to do. Without thinking, she quietly started to slip into Bobby's head, hoping that she could try to pull him back into consciousness. Slowly, the real world started to fade around the White Queen, growing dimmer, and seeming less real--more distant. When Emma's powers started to manifest when she was sixteen, this effect alarmed her. Now, older, and in complete control of her powers, she cherished what was happening. It helped remind her that she was Homo superior, and she liked being superior.

Entering Bobby's mind, Emma looked around her, and for one of the few times in her life was surprised. Surrounding her, on all sides, were toys. Not ordinary toys, but toys of the X-Men, of her students, and of her. Action figures, punching bags, dolls, all with various X-themes lined shelves, for as far as she could see. Looking up, Emma noted that the shelves warped as they got higher, encompassing her in a dome-like toy store.

Slowly, the White Queen started to walk down one of the various darker isles of Bobby's mind. Glancing around, Emma noted that the X-Men were not the only people subjected to being cast into toys. Huge Juggernaut dolls lined the shelves, each one looking slightly more dangerous as she walked by. Small Omega Red action figures shared shelf space with Magneto
oriented play toys.

Turning into another, brighter isle, Emma was assaulted with X-women dolls, some of which (actually most of which) were her. Walking briskly by a "White Queen Action Figure Collectors Set" (only $29.95, kids, tell your parents!!) Emma did notice that the dolls forms of her were disfigured slightly, causing the doll's waist to be smaller, while other "features," were enlarged.

"Why Drake, I never would have guessed you of all people..." Emma murmured to herself as she started to enter another section of the Store.

Emma started down what appeared to be the first isle of Bobby's mental toy store. Looking around, the toys in this section were not of X-characters, but of actual toys. "I had one of those," Emma said aloud, picking up a small doll. As she proceeded on, Emma noticed that all of the toys in this section were from the mid-to late seventies. The time when Bobby would have been a child. As she progressed, though, the toys seemed darker, more hostile and prone towards danger.

Suddenly, Emma heard loud footsteps coming towards her. Turning quickly, she saw a large, plastic version of the Juggernaut running at her.

"Keep out, babe, you don't belong here," Cain Marko bellowed at her, knocking over walls of toys on his rampage to stop the White Queen. "The popsicle don't want nobody snoopin' 'round in his head--especially you!"

Ok, Ok, I know it's shorter than the first, but hey, I've had to write three essays this week...

The next chapter will be longer.
