Part Three

Emma turned quickly. Running at her appeared to be a large, plastic version of Cain Marko, Professor Xavier's half-brother. Marko was also known as the unstoppable Juggernaut, for lack of a better reason, he couldn't be stopped--by physical force.

At the speed of thought, Emma's White Queen outfit disappeared, being replaced by shining white armor, covering her entire body. (For some reason, though, she still seemed next to naked-- another mutant power?) Jumping aside quickly to avoid the oncoming menace, Emma summoned a large lance, created out of pure mental energy. Before Marko could turn for another attack, Emma was ready, charging at him, lance forward. With a loud clang, Emma's weapon crashed against the back of the Juggernaut's armor. Then, it bounced off.

Marko turned around slowly, and looked down, too stunned for words. SHE, a simple telepath, would dare to attack HIM, the Unstoppable Juggernaut, while he still had on his armor? Before he could even manage a giggle at her flimsy attack, the mental lance in Emma's hand shrunk, transforming into a large dagger. With the speed of a cat, Emma plunged the dagger into one of the large eye spaces in Cain's helmet. The Unstoppable Juggernaut fell to the floor howling in pain, and slowly disappeared.

"Why won't you leave me alone?" Emma heard Bobby's voice ring out all around her. "I can deal with this myself!"

"Dr--Bobby, listen to me, you're in a coma, I came into your--"

"LEAVE ME ALONE!!! I just want to be alone..."

With that, Bobby's mental voice slowly disappeared, leaving Emma once again by her self.

"WHY WON'T YOU LET ME IN, DRAKE!!! AFRAID I MIGHT FIND A SKELETON IN YOUR PERFECT CLOSET?!" Emma screamed at the seemingly abandoned toy store. "Why won't you let me in?" she whispered again. Cautiously, Emma began to follow the aisle that led back to the darker end of Bobby's mind. Before, the toys seemed malicious and frightening, now, they were simply dangerous. Guns and swords lined the shelves to Emma's right, spears and arrows were on her left. The White Queen was forced to walk down the center of the aisle for fear of stabbing or cutting herself on the overbearing shelves around her. The once clean florescent light of the store was now replaced by menacing gray shadows.

Turning into another aisle, Emma found small broken action figures of some of the X-Men. Archangel's metallic wings were snapped off of his back. Several Storm figures lay across the floor, their limbs pointing at ridiculous angles, while miniature Jean Grey figures littered the shelves, decapitated. Tiny Psylocke dolls lined the bottom shelf, each with a gaping hole in their chests and stomachs.

"DO YOU SEE THEM, EMMA, SEE WHAT I COULD HAVE PREVENTED? If I knew what I could do, Angel might still have his wings. Storm might never have lost her powers if I stayed on the team instead of running away, Jean might never have died, and Betsy could still be normal. I caused too many losses on the team. I was always the undisciplined one...but now they'll never have to see me again...."

"Drake you fool, come back here and talk to me!" Emma screamed for the second time at the shelves of the store, "Discuss this with me instead of running away. That's what you always do, Drake," Emma hissed at the unseen ceiling, "You always run away when the going gets tough. Be a man for once and face your problems!"

"..."

"You never learned, did you, Emma?" said a deep baritone voice from behind her, "You're not always in control."

Emma wheeled around and came face to face with her former ally, Sebastion Shaw.

"If the boy wants to wallow in self pity, let him. It gives him the chance to see what a lowly maggot he truly is. Now, either leave peacefully, or learn why I was made head of the inner circle..."

OOOHHHHH! things are starting to heat up, no? Tune in next time to learn Bobby's fate!

*A small note*-- I don't know why Bobby thinks that he could have stopped all those things from happening, but he's not really playing with a full deck right now......
