NC-17 eventually but mostly less Feed Back- Like an elephant at the zoo, and peanuts, I always perform so much better. So, yes please!!!!! _______________________________________________________________ Dream Once More 19 Angel knew he should go to the garage and take care of his mess but he just didn't feel like it. He'd do it tonight. The vampire had not heard from Buffy and he was worried. Well, at least Spike was no longer the issue. He sat back, relaxed, and enjoyed the blood Harmony had just brought him. Except for the re-warming, you could hardly tell it was pig and otter, not the real human thing. The memories of the girl's delicious elixir made Angel feel dreamy. After a moment, Angel decided to have Wes bring him the books he- what were they? Angel knew he had wanted to look at books, but what for? The vampire buzzed his assistant. "Harmony, could you get Wes and Gunn in here, and Fred if you can find her?" "Sure thing, boss." Harmony buzzed Angel not much later. "Angel, Fred can't get away, Wesley's assistant said he called and wouldn't be in until noon, and no one knows where Gunn is." Angel knew they were all busy but usually he could call them together. He felt restless, so he decided to take a walk. Exiting his office, he saw a tall, thin, sandy blonde vampire leaning over Harmony's desk. Angel approached them. "Harmony?" "Oh, Angel, this is Jareth. I told you about him." Harmony introduced the vampire. "Hello, pleasure to meet you," Jareth said, putting his hand out. Angel shook his hand and noticed that when Jareth smiled, his lips twisted a bit sideways. "Nice to meet you. Harmony, I'm going for a walk, see Fred maybe." "Ok, can I take my lunch break then?" "Sure, why not." * * * * Buffy awoke feeling good. The prophetic dream had not surfaced and she smiled at the thought of her time with Wes last night. After getting ready, she made some muffins. They were easy because you just added water. Then she brewed some coffee. It dawned on her she didn't know if Wesley drank coffee or tea. The muffins came out great, and the coffee she poured into a thermos. She packed it all in a basket. It seemed silly but she would suggest a breakfast picnic when he got there. Checking her watch, she saw it was eight and that he would be there any minute. Suddenly Buffy had butterflies in her stomach. -Her nervous, and about being around Wesley- how lame was she?- The bell rang then and she answered the door. * * * * Emma yawned and pulled on her robe. She made the trek down the hotel hallways, banging on doors. They had cooks for the girls, but the caretakers Spike had promised would relieve Emma of the necessity of doing this wake up and get them off to school bit. Emma actually had no classes today and she was not working at Wolfram and Hart until two in the afternoon. She had given a ten-day notice, and after today there were only eight left. After the last slayer was off to school, she went back to their rooms. Spike was still asleep and all Emma could think about doing was curling naked next to him. She pulled her robe and nightgown off and climbed back under the covers. Spike pulled her close, then nuzzled her neck. "Faker, I thought you were still asleep." "How could anyone soddin' sleep through the hurricane of the teens getting off to school? Those slayers could wake the dead- ha- and they did." Emma turned and faced him. They kissed and she reached to his already erect cock. She paid it careful attention, rubbing, circling, and stroking it. "Spike, I keep meaning to ask you what that scar all the way around is. I mean, I never felt that on anyone else. Is it a vampire thing?" Spike chuckled. "Not really, more of a Drusilla whim, just one day she decided she didn't like the, I think Americans call them turtle necks, anymore and I woke up to her ah-" "She circumcised you?!" "I was pretty drunk so I was properly anesthetized, but crazy Dru cut too deep, and hence that bugger of a scar. "Well I like it, I'll know it anywhere, just in case you worried about that." "Emma, love, if you have any to compare it to now it will be their owners who will have to worry." She giggled and he kissed her. They made slow gentle love then, followed by several much more passionate sessions. They were just drifting back to sleep when they heard a bang on the door. " Bloody hell!" Spike got up and threw his pants on. At the door was Angel. * * * * Wes smiled at finding Buffy literally waiting with breakfast and herself ready to go. They headed to the beach first for breakfast. There was silence in the car, but it wasn't uncomfortable. However, Buffy interrupted it. "I hope coffee is ok, I wasn't sure if you drank it or tea?" "Coffee is a staple of mine." "Me too. I say it was the slayer nights that caused my caffeine addiction." "Well, coincidentally I blame Watcher school." Pulling into the parking lot, Wes turned off the SUV. "Did you sleep alright, Wes?" asked Buffy. "Yes, fine, thank you." Buffy slowly pulled off her jacket. "Look, it's much better today. Gotta love those slayer healing powers." Wes turned to her. "Are you nervous? There seems to be a bit more small talk today." Buffy cocked her head. "Maybe. It's weird I feel so comfortable with you, then I think about...well, then I get these butterflies." He smiled and with a swift movement drew her close and into a kiss. "Better?" he asked after. Buffy looked up at him, smiled, and replied, "Yes, and could you do that again?" Wes obliged. The muffins and coffee were forgotten and the two people in Wes's SUV seemed like just a couple of teenagers, making out at the beach. **** "Spike, where is everyone? I had to use my old key." "Everyone is either at school or still in bed!" "Oh, I forgot about that." His brow crinkled. "Is Emma in there?" Emma had pulled her robe on and came to the door then. "Yes, is something wrong? I'm not scheduled to work until two this afternoon." "No..." He paused as if he were sensing something. "Can I come in and talk about the other afternoon?" Emma replied, "Ah, yeah, I guess so, come in." Angel pushed past a scowling Spike. Angel looked around, noting the changes in the rooms he used to occupy. "I like your choice of rooms." Spike's eyebrow went up. Angel suddenly cocked his head, then moved closer and started to circle Emma. "Oi, what in bloody hell do..." Emma felt a sort of tingle, a slayer tingle, something she had never felt around Angel before. She flashed Spike a look. Spike grabbed Angel and whipped him around to face him. "What are you on about? We were busy!" A strange look came over Angel's face. "I bet you were!" He glanced in Emma's direction, a leer on his face. "That's it, out! Angel, you may be the boss but..." With no warning, Angels demeanor changed. "Sorry. Really, I came to apologize for my actions that day Buffy was in the office." The tingle was worse, and started to feel like cramps. All Emma could do was force a smile. "Angel, you have your reasons, not my place to judge." "Ah, yes, but your resignation, that is a judgment. Isn't it, Emma?" His eyes narrowed ever so slightly Emma smiled again. "Oh no, that was about independence. You see, living with someone makes a girl like me have to assert her independence in different ways. I knew it was becoming too much so I arranged something less time-consuming with my professor." "And the refusal of our help with Oxford?" "The Watcher's Council has some sort of deal, no money exchanges hands that way." "Oh, so this notice of yours has nothing to do..." "Angel, I don't know what's going on with you, but I made a lot of new friends there at the firm. I am sad but feeling positive about my choice. I don't mean to be rude, but this is the only day I get to sleep in and I would like to continue that now." Emma turned quickly and headed for the bedroom. "You heard the lady, now scram!" added Spike. "And I didn't realize you still had a key. Hand the one you have over." Angel pulled the key from his pocket and dropped it in Spike's hand. "Yeah, safety for the slayers. I get that. You're really making a go of all this, aren't you, Spike? Who would have thought?" Spike walked Angel to the hotel entrance, where his car was parked, and locked the door behind Angel, then returned to Emma. She came out of the bedroom. "Something is very wrong. My slayer spidey sense was off the charts. I felt like a cat cornered by a dog." "I picked up on his predator dance..." "We need to tell Buffy," Emma interrupted. * * * * Buffy and Wes both jumped at the ringing of her cell phone. They had finally gotten out of the vehicle and were sitting on Wes's coat on the sand. They had enjoyed breakfast and now were just kissing a bit. "Sorry," Buffy said as she answered the phone. Emma started to tell Buffy about Angel's strange actions as Wes's phone rang. Wes answered to discover Spike on the other line. "Wes, we need anything you can find on the Master, Angel, prophecies, and..." "I get it, Spike, I'll bring them this evening." "After you talk with Buffy I wager you'll be here sooner.." Buffy and Wes hung up from their calls at the same time. Buffy spoke first. "Whatever is going on with Angel is happening now. We have to get over to the Hyperion." "Yes," answered Wes. "With one stop. Spike was right, we need more information." * * * * Angel drove back to the garage and parked the Shelby Mustang in its place. Going to the viper, he opened the trunk. The girl lay still. ** Oh please, Liam, take me with you. I want to travel as well. ** Looking over his shoulder, he saw nothing. He knew he could just twist her head off. It was easy, but maybe a weapon would make it easier: he wouldn't have to touch her. He went to the Shelby and opened the trunk. With shock he jumped back; there was a girl in there too. Then he checked the Ford Fury; there was a redhead who looked kind of like Willow in its trunk. He opened another trunk and there was a brunette who resembled Cordelia a bit in it. His shock overtook him. ** Oh please, Liam, take me with you. I want to travel as well. ** As if in a trance, he watched the brunette rise. In her demon guise she looked less like Cordelia. Behind him came a familiar voice. "Oh, Daddy, in't she lovely?" Whipping around, he saw Drusilla approach. "Drusilla?" "Daddy, please don't punish me, the others all but four have perished." Drusilla pouted and cocked her head in an awkward position. "Smelled of Spike in the house, it did. Spike and his slayer. Smart slayer Spike has now. Don't think he'll ever come back, not now; don't really want to have 'im either." Drusilla shivered. "Nasty too bright light he has about 'im." The other girls in the car trunks started to rise as well. Angel could hear banging on the other closed trunks echoing in the parking garage. ** Oh please, Liam, take me with you. I want to travel as well. ** Drusilla began to jump up and down. "Goody, more family. I missed you all. Come, we can have tea." Angel felt dizzy and nauseated. He headed to his office, leaving the nightmare behind. TBC
