Subject: [OTL]: [Kurt/Amanda] Bedtimes (G) Date: Sun, 14 Mar 1999 16:53:51 -0800 (PST) From: Diamonde Reply-To: outsidethelines@Mailing-List.net To: outsidethelines@Mailing-List.net Just a short bit of fluff, but feedback is food to the starving. Neither of these people are mine, they belong to Marvel, but that's okay because I'm not making any money from doing this. I'm just borrowing for free entertainment, honest. BEDTIMES She didn't have long, Amanda knew that. Just a flying visit, so to speak, what moments she could steal from the heavy duty of ruling Limbo. But she'd worked hard to steal those moments, and was planning to put them to good use. With a faintly naughty smile she concentrated for a moment and teleported back to the mundane world, one place in particular. It was an educated guess, she was almost certain she'd arrive in the right room. And at the time of night she was aiming for, Kurt would most likely be reading or watching something in bed. Good, just where she wanted him. And yet when the lights of her magic cleared the bottom fell out of her simple plan. It was certainly Kurt's room, he was in bed and the light was on, but Amanda shook her head and laughed softly at herself. Then she smiled at the furry blue love of her life, flopped across the bed on his back in full costume, obviously having fallen asleep as soon as he'd hit the covers. He was quite definitely asleep - she had to watch for a moment just to make sure he was really still breathing. "My poor baby," Daytripper said softly, walking over and pulling off his gloves. He moved a little as she struggled to get top half of his costume off, but didn't wake up. *Good thing he's not very big,* she thought wryly to herself, rolling Nightcrawler across the bed and gently tucking him under the blankets. He made a rather childlike burbling noise and snuggled in, a happy smile crossing the demonic features. Not that Amanda (who'd seen more demons in the last few weeks than she had ever really wanted to see in her life) thought of him that way. She reached out gentle fingers to stroke the velvety fur and delicately pointed ears, enjoying the soft lines and fine bone structure. It would be a pity to waste the time, maybe an awake Kurt would have been more emotionally trying than she'd really be able to deal with anyway. Happy with her solution, Amanda quitely stripped off most of her own clothes and crept into bed next to him. It felt so right, and very cozy. She gently moved his arm enough for her to wriggle in between it and his body, resting her cheek on his bare chest. Amanda closed her eyes and her mind, trying not to think, only feel. The softness of the short fur against her face and limbs, the comforting beat of his heart under her ear. Even the familiar smell of sweat and musk, underlying that the faint scent of soap that always clung to his fur. *No place like home,* Amanda thought drowsily, lulled by Kurt's regular breathing. She brushed her hand over the fuzzy stomach and smiled in absolute contentment as she drifted off to sleep.
