Catnapping - Epilogue

Pete collapsed gratefully into bed, the new Mrs. Wisdom falling on top of
him.

"Well, Luv... It's not much, but it's a honeymoon away from the mad spandex
brigade all the same." He smiled, kissing her nose.

"Oh, no!" She sat up, horrid realization dawning. As far as Excalibur knew,
she had actually been kidnapped. Kitty ran to the phone, dialing hurriedly.

"Aw, no..." Pete moaned, raising himself up on one elbow. "You can talk to
them in the morning!"

"Kurt, it's me Kitty." She ignored her husband.

"Katzchen!" Wagner was loud enough that she had to hold the reciever away
from her ear. "Are you all right? The security cameras show--"

"It's okay. No one was hurt. I-- Kurt, Pete and I got married. We eloped."

"Was?!"

She held the receiver away again, and Pete groaned, slapping his forehead.

"I'll call you again to come pick us up in a week or so."

"Month." Pete corrected. "She'll call you in a month. Honey_moon_. Month."

"Goodbye, Kurt." She hung up before her friend could protest.

"Month." Pete reminded her, his hands resting on her hips.

Kitty swung one leg over him and leaned down to kiss him. "A month." She
whispered against his mouth, hands tangled in a mess of black hair. "One
month."

"One month..." He repeated, their lips brushing as he spoke.

Kitty stretched herself out on top of him, loosening his tie. "I love you,
Pete Wisdom."

"And I..." He paused to kiss her again, hands sliding her sweatpants off.
"Love you, Mrs. Wisdom."
