Author's Notes: This is my version of what was going on in Pete Wisdom's mind the first time he met Kitty Pryde. She wore a star A silver Star of David I've never been a fan of religious symbols I've never been a fan of religion But I was fascinated By the silver star That danced about her throat Claiming her And I hated that star If even only for a second Because I wanted it to share Her lovely throat that led to her shining face And that charming smile Which I only saw for an instant But I wanted all the same Her fingers grasped The shiny silver symbol A nervous habit I guess And I was overcome With jealousy Wondering exactly what those Long slim piano fingers Felt like And if she enjoyed Being caressed from Wrist To Elbow And I watched that Taunting silver star As it twirled around In her fingers With shards of light reflecting off of it Onto the skin of her throat An intoxicating glitter dance Right above her collar bone Where I'd love to Brush my fingertips If only to unclasp That damned necklace And steal it away So I could take its place On her skin Above her heart
