This story is the (long-promised) Limited Series based on the events of my earlier story, "Love Never Dies", in which Rachel seduced Kitty, having been herself initiated into lesbianism by Kate Pryde in the future.......

In my "Excalibur Redrawn" timeline, Kitty turns sixteen during their trip to Genosha. Here, it's before her stopover in Westchester during Illyana's illness (well, she'd better be sixteen during this series, considering what I have her and Rachel doing......).

PLEASE NOTE : THERE IS EXPLICIT SEX IN THIS STORY. If you are not of an age to read this sort of material in your own country, or you find such matters distasteful or offensive, please do not read on.

True Loves - Part 9

The car sped along the road to the coast, its occupant happily humming along with the tune on the radio. Alistaire Stuart had always preferred the easy-listening of Radio Four to the commercial channels, or the more pop-orientated Radio One. And he was truly looking forward to his visit. <I really think that the lovely Rachel is warming to me, I really do! Oh, if only she'd finally open her eyes and see me, why, I'd be the happiest man in the world!>

He put his head back, letting the wind blow through his thinning hair, as the sun warmed his face and arms. He didn't get to visit Excalibur that often, not often enough in his opinion, but the news that he'd been given gave him the ideal opportunity to pay the team a surprise visit.

Even after all this time, he still hadn't given up hope that Rachel might finally come around to noticing his interest in her, and even reciprocating. True, there had been that somewhat embarrassing incident during the Cross-Time Caper when he'd had to play-act being her personal slave - though he hadn't been as embarrassed as Kitty had been, he recalled with a smile. Still, for just a short time, Phoenix had shown an interest in him, and he'd been hoping that it might lead to something developing from it. But he'd been disappointed - once they'd got back to Earth, she'd shown no further desire to be in his company, apart from an abortive visit to the theatre in the company of the other ladies of Excalibur.

<Well, one can only live in hope! After all, it's not as if there's anyone else at the manor for her to be interested in - certainly not that Feron chap, from what I hear, and that Ky'lun doesn't seem interested in anyone at the moment. I hear that he's grieving for his murdered ladylove, the poor fellow. Well, I still miss Alysdane, even after all these months, so I can understand his feelings there. But that leaves the field open for me! After all, who else can the delectable Rachel fall in love with? There are Brian and Kurt, true, but they're already spoken for. No, as far as I know, I'm the only currently unattached man in her life, which surely must give me a good chance of being noticed by her......>

Rachel sighed contentedly and stretched her arms high, then decided that the day was too nice to ruin it by getting out of bed. Kitty wasn't in bed, as she'd gone downstairs for some reason. The spectacular redhead had made a point of not listening to her lover's thoughts unless they were so strong that there was no alternative. Then again, she thought, the younger girl had been gone for some time. *Hey kiddo, what's keeping you? Oh, for heaven's sake, Pryde, you're not exercising, are you? Geez, I thought our lovemaking was pretty good exercise....*

*Look, Red, just because you're kept in perfect physical condition by the Phoenix Force, it doesn't mean that the rest of us have that advantage. I still have to work to keep fit, you know. Otherwise I end up putting on weight in the wrong places....*

*Hah! Riiiight! As I recall, you can scoff bowls of chocolate fudge cake and ice cream till you're nearly sick, and still not put on weight!* She still remembered what Logan had told the rest of the X-Men about Kitty's response to her ordeal in Japan - Mariko had wondered if Kitty would ever recover from it, and Logan had pointed out that the young girl was demolishing a huge bowl of mixed ice-cream.

*That was when I was still growing, which I'm not anymore, am I? Look, all I'm doing is finishing off these press-ups, then running back to the manor. I'll shower, then rejoin you... still a little wet, perhaps....*

*But not as wet as you will be once I've finished with you, love....* Ray grinned at the sudden flash of embarrassment she got back from Kitty at the rather obvious innuendo. Cutting the psilink, she rolled over onto her back, dropping her head onto the pillow to let the sunlight fall on the back of her head and shoulders, as she luxuriated in the warmth.

Ray wasn't the only one enjoying the bright sunshine that morning. Meggan flew through the air, blonde hair streaming out behind her, as she followed the small flock of birds which wheeled over the manor. She listened intently to their calls, her nature link allowing her to understand what they were saying to one another. Days like this she really enjoyed the gift she'd been born with, the ability to be a part of nature, to understand its creatures, their thoughts and deeds and speech.

Brian watched her from below. His fiancee's gentle, empathic nature was such a part of her that he couldn't imagine what she might have been like without it. <Now why are you thinking that? Is it because you still remember what Courtney Ross had been like, someone so similar in background and upbringing, before Sat-Yr-9 murdered her? What would your life be like without Meggan? True, you once nearly drove her away, but you didn't. But what if you had? Oh, to hell with it, man! Stop beating around the bush and ask her!> "Meggan?"

The blonde fey heard her lover's call from below, and broke off her flight with the birds to fly down to him. "Yes, Brian? What is it? Is something wrong?"

"No, Meg, nothing's wrong. In fact, I hope things are going to be better than ever before." He reached into the pocket of his trousers and brought out a small velvet-covered box. "I should have asked you this a long time ago, but now is as good a time as ever." Before Meggan's astonished gaze, the huge man fell to one knee in front of her, opening the box to reveal a gold ring set with emeralds. "Meggan, will you marry me?"

The response he got was stunned silence. Of all the things which she thought he might have wanted to say, this was the most unexpected of them all. After several seconds, he began to get worried about her lack of response. "Meggan? Please say yes."

"Oh, y-yes Brian! With all my heart!" And with that she threw herself at him.

The kiss they shared was one that they would both remember for a long time to come.

Lockheed stared down from his perch on the top of his Kitty's computer, watching Rachel as she lazed in the bright sunshine. To be honest, the little dragon was feeling rather confused these days. He'd always been jealous of Kitty's other romantic attachments - he certainly remembered demonstrating that with the huge Russian on more than one occasion. So he felt that he should object strongly to her having any kind of loving relationship with anyone other than himself.

So why wasn't he jealous of her being with Rachel? True, he'd known Rachel for some time, ever since the two girls had been on the X-Men together - but not that well, since Kitty had been roommates with Illyana rather than the redheaded time-traveller. It was really only since they had helped to form Excalibur that he'd come to know her almost as well as his Kitty. Now they shared a room, and at first had been nothing more than roommates, as Kitty had been with Illyana before the Marauders had shown up. Lockheed had come to like Rachel, he liked her smell, he liked her looks (as when she and Meggan had dressed up in revealing clothes during their first landing of the Cross-Time Caper), he liked her attitude and the way she scratched him and tickled him and made a fuss of him - which Peter certainly never had.

But, why did he not mind the two of them being in bed together? Was it that, for perhaps the first time, his Kitty seemed truly happy? (After all, Peter had never spent much time on her, treating her more like another little sister than a true girlfriend.) Or was it simply that Rachel was someone that he himself had come to care for, like and, maybe, even love, a bit? So that he didn't feel that he might lose his Kitty to her new love?

If most of the people at the manor had made up their minds about Rachel and Kitty's new relationship, there was one little dragon who was still confused.

"I still say it's disgusting! The idea of the two of them being in b - "

"Feron, would you kindly shut up for just a few seconds! Stop trying to pretend your righteous wrath is due to what they do being immoral, the simple fact is that as far as you're concerned, it's just another thing you can use to knock Rachel, who you've never forgiven for being the Phoenix Host in place of you." By now Ky'lun was starting to get very annoyed at the young man for making such a fuss about the two girls' sexual activities. As far as Ky'lun was concerned, what consenting adults got up to was nobody else's business, not even their team-mates. And anyway, he'd seen relationships between humans and non-humans during his stay with his beloved Sat'Neen, before her death at the hands of Necrom. So the idea of two women being together had little import for him.

Nor did it have any relevance for Cerise. The alien woman had little understanding of human customs, concepts or morality, and thus she felt no repugnance for the idea of Rachel and Kitty making love. Not that her own grasp of the concept of lovemaking was rock-solid, but Kurt was making every effort to teach her.......

"No I will not shut up! I'm supposed to be the Phoenix Host, not some unworthy girl who insists on acting as though she has no responsibility for the way she acts, who acts in an immoral and inappropriate way with a silly little obnoxious girl who - "

One thing Feron had never really got the hang of was checking who was listening before opening his mouth. As far as the sorcerer was concerned, his audience consisted of Ky'lun alone. He hadn't noticed that the door into the kitchen had let someone into the room without opening, someone who simply walked through the door as if it were not there at all.

He found out about the new arrival when a strong arm lifted him out of his chair and slammed him against the wall. A pair of angry brown eyes stared into his. "I'm sorry, bub, but I didn't quite catch what you were saying then, Care to enlighten me?"

The look in Kitty's eyes told Feron that he was walking a tightrope, the result of failure being a solid hit from a small but strong fist. One look at Ky'lun told him he wouldn't get any aid from that quarter. "Uh, n-nothing, nothing at all."

"Really? I caught something about 'silly, 'little' and 'obnoxious'. Now who were you referring to, I wonder?" She cocked her head as if listening for his answer. She knew who he'd been talking about, of course, but decided to string the young boy along.

"N- no-one, honestly!" The young mage decided not to tempt Providence by actually answering.

"Good. I suggest you try being a bit more circumspect in your comments, pal - that is, if you want to remain in the land of the living!"

**********************************************

"You shouldn't let him annoy you so much, kiddo. He can't help being a pain in the butt, it's just his nature." Rachel tightened her grip around Kitty's waist, her lips pressing against the Jewish girl's soft, pale neck.

Kitty leaned back into her lover's warmth. "Yeah, you're right, it's just, everyone else has accepted us, but not that - we aren't expecting visitors, are we?"

A soft bamf interrupted her question as Kurt teleported over to the door. He didn't bother getting an image inducer - in Britain, unlike America, people weren't terrified of his appearance. In fact, one tabloid newspaper's readers had voted him the 'sexiest man in Britain' only a couple of days before - something he was still trying to live down amongst the rest of Excalibur.

"Alistaire! We were not expecting you, mein freund! Please, come in!"

Kitty glanced back at Ray. "Your suitor's here, Red." Her lips curled in a sly smile, thinking of the man over whom she'd had a crush for so long, but who had never seemed to notice her interest in him. Rachel laughed.

"Boy, is he gonna be disappointed, or what?"

**********************************************

"Hello, Alistaire! It's good to see you again!" Meggan's smile of welcome was dazzling, and Alistaire couldn't help but respond to it.

"You too, Meggan. Hello, Brian, I've got news for you!"

The huge man gave him a look. "That's unusual, it's not normally me you want to see, is it?" Brian winced as Meggan's elbow dug into his side. Alistaire blushed - he hadn't realised his attentions had been quite that obvious. Before he could stutter out a response, Kitty and Rachel walked down the stairs and into the hallway, their arms round one another. The tall, thin Englishman blinked at that, but thought no more of it. Kurt turned to greet Cerise as she made her appearance, kissing her hand in greeting.

"Guten morgen, Liebchen. Alistaire here has paid us an impromptu visit to deliver some news to Brian." He trailed kisses up her arm as the rest of the team grinned at his antics, Brian rolled his eyes, and Alistaire blushed, wishing he could summon up the courage to try the same with Rachel. Kurt finally finished his moves with a kiss on the lips, which the alien woman returned enthusiastically.

"Have you quite finished, Kurt? Thank you. Now, Alistaire, what was it you wanted to tell me?"

"The police raided a building yesterday, one which belonged to the Vixen. They made some arrests, and also found someone there, being kept under guard. Your older brother, Jamie." The thinner man's face twisted in a grimace of suppressed hate for the man who'd killed his sister. There was a silence at his words.

"Jamie."

"Yes. We've spoken to Moira McTaggert, and we'll be transferring him to her care at Muir Isle. I thought you should hear it from me. They couldn't find any trace of Vixen, or of Sat-Yr-9. But the authorities are still looking."

Brian stood still for almost a minute as everyone else watched him warily, before he finally stirred. "I'd better tell Betsy. Excuse me." He walked out of the kitchen, a worried-looking Meggan following behind. The rest of those present stared at one another.
