"Love? What's love without passion, tears and devotion? Drama, action,
romance and adventure mix up in this fantastic story. Would you choose
between
them? She won't choose one. She'll do everything to save
the man she fell in love with."
Buffy stood on the porch, contemplating the bills and all of the other
problems she had left behind. When her mom wasalive everything was different;
she was
different. Especially now: again, in this hellish world, fighting with
living in a tortuous reality where she would never fit in.
She hid her face between her hands, not realizing that someone was looking at her. He was hidden behind somebushes, watching her.
She sat on the short steps and started crying. It was the only thing
she could do: cry for the absence of her mother, cry for herself, cry for
her problemsand
cry for her life. She missed it. She missed being in heaven. She could
still remember what it had been like there. Her mom had been with her,
and everything
was peaceful. She had been finished.
Hugging her knees, she cried louder. She suddenly felt someone hug her,
offering her a shoulder to cry on. He held her and told her that everything
was going
to be ok.
She felt his leather coat.
"Spike?"She asked while trying to clean her face. However she couldn't
hide her sadness. "Everything is so hard here," she said when he hugged
her again. "I
can't do this... why am I here??" she asked, looking at the night sky–
"That was my moment... I shouldn't be here, crying because of some fucking
bills. I
should be dead... with mom... not here."
"Shhhh, it's ok, pet. You will be ok."
"How?" she asked between sobs, as he wrapped his arms around her.
"You will learn to deal with it, like you used to do... before..."
She stayed there, held between his strong arms in a warm hug, feeling that she couldlearn how to live again.
"Why are you doing this?" she asked.
"Doing what?" he said, looking at her.
"Helping and supporting me..."
"Well, what are mortal enemies for?"
"Yeah," she agreed, stretching out on his lap anddrying the tears on her face. "and ... because you love me, don't you?" she added, smiling at him.
"Yeah" he said, glancing at the floor. Then he stood up.
"Where are you going?"
"I have... some stuff to do..."
"But it's still early."
"Yeah but..." He didn't finished his sentence; he just started walking without looking back at her.
When he left Buffy stared at the floor for a minute, thinking.
"What the hell was that?" she said to herself. "Why did he leave...? What
am I saying??? I don't care why he left! IT'S SPIKE! But... what did I say?
Oh
God!"
She went into the house and walked upstairs to her room. Ten minutes
later she was still trying to sleep, but she couldn't. Thoughts about Spike
were keeping
her awake.
'What the hell is wrong with me?? Ok – she tried to calm down - let's see...'
She sat on her bed and tried to analyze the situation. 'Why was she
still thinking about Spike?' The first thought that popped into her mind
was about his body
and his hard muscles.
"EWWWWW! What is wrong with me???" she said in loud voice. "If he had done some kind of spell I swear..."
Suddenly Willow appeared at her door.
"Buffy? Is something wrong?" she asked, worried about her friend.
"Willow! Hi! Um, listen... I think that something is going on... Something's wrong... I just... saw Spike ten minutes ago, and it just felt... weird..."
"What do you mean?"
"I don't know... Today I was on the porch... thinking..." She decided that
it would be better if she didn't tell Willow about her sadness and her
problems. "...
about bills and all that, you know..."
Willow nodded.
"And then... Spike appeared." She stopped there, but Willow didn't look surprised at all.
"Ok, Spike appeared... in the night... he's a vampire, remember Buff?" she said. –"So, something else happened?"
"Yeah, I don't know... it was weird... I fell something..."
"Something... for him... you mean? – Now she looked really worried."
"Ummmm... maybe. I don't know? That is what's confusing me. It's just that... what could I feel about him? Hate? Rage? It's Spike, for God Sake!"
"So." Willow sat on the bed. "You are trying to tell me that you have feelings for Spike?"
"I don't know... Willow... I don't know!"
"Well, Buffy, 'The Heart has reasons that the mind ignores'."
"What?" Buffy asked.
And then, Willow disappeared...and Buffy woke up.
'What the Hell was that?!?'
'A premonition?' she thought. – 'No, that would be ridiculous... right?'
"Oh that's it," she said. 'Back to sleep, and please, no more premonitions!'
TBC in chapter 1.
"When I say I love you, it's not because I want you, or because
I can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you're. What
you do. How you try.
I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best
and the worst of you, and I understand with perfect clarity exactly what
you're. You're a hell of a
woman. You're the One." – Touched.
