Subject: [gbp] X-Force #26 Date: Mon, 28 Oct 2002 23:20:29 -0000 From: "David" X-Force: Regrets His fingers ran across the exposed breast, gently tickling the exposed nipple, which rose and hardened to the light touch. She smiled in tortured pleasure as he replaced his fingers with his lips, suckling at the teat and she moaned in delight at his touch and his eyes looked up, to she her head tipped back as she arched and gave her body up to him, her brown hair surrounding the soft pale skin. It had been a long time since either of them had engaged in sexual relations and their passions were bursting from them. He kissed the nipple, then he kissed the breast and worked his way up until he was at her mouth and he pushed his tongue in to the waiting gap where they locked and brushed against each other. "Oh, Kitty," whispered Maverick as he felt her legs wrap around his lower back and he knew that it was time to give her what she wanted, what she demanded, what he wanted to release in to her and she looked in to his eyes. "Take me," she whispered and he pushed in to her and she gasped as he did so. She was quite tight but she enjoyed it and she moaned as he pushed at her, going deeper in to her body and she responded in kind as she pushed back, wanting him to go deeper in to her, to prove that she was wanted, that she had worth. "Yes," she said. "Fuck me, David, fuck me." She kept repeating it She kept repeating it and North grunted in reply as he kept pounding at her, flesh meeting flesh as they screwed each other on the bed, waiting for the release that both were working towards. He could feel it building in himself and he pulled her close, her breasts pushing in to his chest as they both erupted at the same time. She could feel him filling her with his ejaculations and they laid together, still joined and holding each other close, breathing hard, sweat pouring from them. "Thank you," said Kitty, as she lightly stroked his face as he lay kissing the nape of her neck, looking over her body. "Thank you," he replied and she got out of the bed. "I'm going to take a shower," she said, looking back at him. "Then I have to get back to work." "Okay," said North as he watched her walk away in to the bathroom, and then he lay back on the bed, looking at the ceiling. "Man..." "Damn it," said Pete Wisdom, as he looked at the ceiling. "I don't believe this is happening..." "Or not happening," said Lydia, as she straddled him. "That's not funny," said Pete as he rested his head against her breasts. "I've not had this problem before." "Don't worry about it," said Lydia as she stroked his hair. "We can try again later." "Thanks," said Pete. "Still at least I got to see you naked." "Don't start," she said. "You don't need to protect yourself now." "Another cheap shot," said Pete. "I'm really sorry." "Hey," Lydia looked in to his eyes. "I don't mind. After what you've been through I'm surprised you even got this far." "That's the problem," said Pete. "I know what the problem is." "Oh?" "Jessica Drew." "Really?" Lydia's tone was suddenly cold and Pete's head dropped to the pillow. "Not like that, you daft tart," he said. "When the Shadow King attacked her using me... I was there. I could see it happening and I couldn't stop it. What he experienced, I experienced and it touched a darkness in me, because in some way I knew that I was capable of doing that. I've done things that are so much worse and Farouk knew that..." He closed his eyes. "I still see her face, the look in her eyes, the pleading of her voice, the grimace as I..." his voice trailed of and Lydia could see a tear rolling down his cheek. Jessica Drew was in a psychiatric ward, where she was like a blank slate and completely non-responsive, but nobody had ever considered the mental scars on Pete Wisdom because of it. He portrayed himself as a hard man, uncaring and harsh, but she'd seen the other side of him. She knew how much of that was a fatade, but she'd never seen him like this. He was in pain and if it wasn't for the circumstance, nobody would have known. It certainly hadn't co me up in the psyche evaluations. "Oh, Pete," she said, lying down next to him. "You never said." "I didn't think I needed to," he said. "I thought I could deal with it alone." "You're never alone," said Lydia. "Not anymore." She took his hand in hers and he looked at her. "And we will try again later, I promise." Pete smiled and pulled her close in to him. "You're an amazing woman, you know that." "Just don't forget it," she said, teasingly and then she kissed him. "I'm going to go freshen up." "I join you?" he asked. "Might put some life back in to things." "That's the Pete Wisdom I remember," she said as she playfully hit him with a pillow. "Catch me if you can," and she was out of bed and dashing to the bathroom. "Count on it," said Pete, a moment or two behind her. "Wow." Teresa Rourke looked at Marcus Raven, and sighed, thanking God that it had happened. Then she looked back at the test results. "Thank you," she said. Neither of them had been capable of self-control, except that Raven had known it was wrong and had managed to stop himself from going any further than they had started "No problem," said Raven. "Ah didn't think Ah could control myself." "How did you?" she asked, not sure she wanted the answer. The thing with the X-Men had hurt her deeply, but she knew that there was a reason for that. "Stop myself?" he replied. "Wasn't easy. Ah knew it was wrong and seeing you undressing, my mind was screaming at me and as much as Ah wanted to, Ah just couldn't let myself. Which was why Ah hit you with a psi-bolt." "Good idea," she said. "I couldn't think of anything else other than being with you. It's just that..." "Ah'm so much older than you are?" "Yeah," she said, flushing slightly. "Don't worry about it," he said. "So what did you find?" "There's a toxin in our systems," she gave her answer while turning back to the computer screen. She'd hacked the systems as a member of the original X-Force before, when she and Warpath had stolen some of the data after the business with Stryfe trying to kill Xavier. They'd done it to ensure that X-Force had an edge, and doing so again was quite easy. She was as uncomfortable doing this now as she was back then, but this was important. She needed to use the medical systems and find out what was wrong with them. "A toxin?" said Raven. "How?" "My guess? Viper did it to us while we were stopped by the Shadow King's powers when Hydra got away." "What is it?" "It's a delayed action stimulant," said Siryn, looking over the data from the systems. "Phenylethylamine, but the molecules of the chemical have been rearranged. Evil bitch..." "What is phenylethylamine?" asked Marcus. "Ah know the word, but Ah can't quite place it." "It's the chemical the brain produces when people fall in love. It acts like an amphetamine and such. It's a structural relative of a series of hormones and it triggers the feelings of love." Siryn looked at the results wondering how anyone could use love as a weapon of hate. Once the effects wore off, the two who'd been infected with the toxin would have so much trouble later. It wouldn't have been their fault, but guilt and conscience... "Leave it to science to ruin the magic," Marcus was saying. "Ah know where Ah heard it now. It's called the 'love molecule'. There was a study being done at the FBI." "Yes, well, this version had been altered t'heighten the sensations but after a delayed time-scale." Then she had a thought. "The others!" "Can you use the systems to contact SHIELD?" "No, she can't," said a voice. Cyclops had returned. "I'll see you later," said Pete as he let go of Lydia's hand and entered the corridor. "Yeah, we work together," she said, with a grin. "So I could order you to come to my quarters?" "You could try," she said. "See ya, Pete." He nodded and went back towards his own quarters, his mind thinking on his problem. He couldn't believe that he was having problems becoming aroused, especially not around someone as hot as Lydia Del Ruiz, but then again there was Jessica to think about. "Oh, I'm going to find Farouk and kick his arse across the bloody planet," he said, thinking he needed a cigarette. Being in captivity had done nothing to break him of that addiction and he really didn't care that much either. He just wanted to taste the nicotine in the back of this throat to feel the smoke in his lungs and smell the air of his exhalations. "I'm becoming a poet," he thought in horror. "Christ, maybe I'm gay... Evening," he said to the man walking past him who flinched. Pete smiled. There were days when he really enjoyed his life. He was walking and smiling when he saw Kitty phase through one of the doors. She hadn't seen him, but he stopped a moment and watched her. The door opened and Maverick came out, and Pete raised an eyebrow. Maybe it was just a friendly thing. "Kitty, I found this in the bed." "My star? Thanks, Dave," she said and kissed him. "Good job your phasing didn't ruin the door, I could have been trapped." "My bad," she said. "Maybe." She kissed him again and then went on her way. Pete watched her leave, his mouth open in shock. Maverick and his Kitty? His ex and his friend? "Bastard..." stuttered Pete, getting angry. "You complete bastard." He stormed over to the door and knocked sharply twice. "Kitty..." started North as he opened the door and was promptly met by a head butt from Pete. "Jesus..." said Maverick as blood spurted from his nose. "What the..." He didn't get a chance to say anything else as Pete's fist slammed in to his gut, knocking the air from him. "Take that, pillock," said Pete as he hit him again and again, and then Maverick caught his fist. "I don't know what you're problem is, mate," said North as he fired a kinetic blast at Pete throwing him back against the bulkhead, "but it ends here." "Like hell," said Pete and fired a hot knife at Maverick who only just dodged. "You want a piece of me, let's fucking go then," said Maverick, and he fired as much energy as he could at Wisdom, who couldn't avoid the onslaught coming at him. The Helicarrier shook under the impact and Maverick stopped in shock at what he'd just done to his friend. "What the hell am I doing?" he asked himself. "Nice shot," said Pete's voice, ragged and harsh. "Now it's my turn..." His hand seemed to resemble a talon and his arm shot out, spread eagling his fingers as his hot knives flared to life and shot after Maverick, who realised that firstly he wasn't wearing much more than a towel and the second that he couldn't absorb hot knives and they were more likely to kill than wound. "Shit," said Maverick and moved fast, but he couldn't avoid them all and one struck him in the leg and another in the shoulder and he cried out in pain. "David!" shouted Kitty as she came back to see what was going on. "Pete, stop it now!" He shot her a look of sheer hatred and Kitty flinched. For every problem they'd had in their relationship, he'd never looked at her like that and it hurt her more than his parting shot 'You said you loved me'. Then he turned back to Maverick and stood on his wounded shoulder. "Hurts doesn't it?" he said, his teeth clenched, flecks of spittle coming through the gaps. "Like this?" He twisted his foot and Maverick grimaced. His wounded leg meant he couldn't stand, but he also figured that Wisdom didn't have much left after the pounding he'd just taken, otherwise he'd be doing it right now. "I said leave him alone," said Kitty, running over. "I don't want to fight you, Pete." "Nah, you just wanna screw around with my friends," glowered Pete. "Enjoy it? Was he good? Did he make you moan like I used to, hitting that spot..." She slapped him, hard. "It's none of you Goddamn business," she said, tears of rage streaking her cheeks. "I wanted him, not you. Is that what gets you?" "Nah, just your choice of blokes. Still with your track record. The Russian, Dougy, the Russian again, me, Digby Falstaff." "Rigby Fallon," she said, getting angrier by the moment. "And he was while you were supposed to be with me. How much of a slapper are you and was I really your first?" "Back off, Wisdom, you're out of line," said Maverick, who'd pulled himself up. "Or what'll you do, Davey? Screw another of my ex's? Hey, maybe later you can do Terry. X-Women are the bikes of the superhero world after all..." His jaw was met by Maverick's fist and he fell back and Kitty stepped on his groin, and Pete could taste blood. "You're a pig," she sneered. "I must have been so desperate..." "Two on one is hardly fair odds," said Lydia, who'd turned up as well. "Wanna try someone more your size?" Her fist connected with Kitty's jaw, and sent her to the floor. "You okay?" she asked Pete. "Is he okay?" asked Maverick. "What about us?" "You might want to try some clothes," said Lydia. "While they'd get an indecent exposure charge on you, they'd not have a great deal to go on." Maverick flushed as he realised he'd lost his towel and went back in to his room, almost collapsing under his bad leg. "Ouch," muttered Pete as he stood up, slowly and carefully thinking that if his equipment didn't work before it was well and truly messed up now. His head ached as well. It wasn't a normal headache either, it was as if there was a knife in his eye and he shook his head and by the time his vision cleared he could see Lydia and Kitty fighting. "This isn't right," he said, wondering why the hell he'd started this. Something was really, really wrong here... "What are you doing?" asked Cyclops, his arms folded as he looked on at the two SHIELD agents using the X-Men equipment and accessing X-Men files. "This isn't what it looks like, Scott," started Terry. "So you're not hacking our files, and going against the request of the X-Men that you not use our equipment." "There are circumstances, Mr Summers," started Raven. "You turned us down, Agent Raven," said Cyclops. "We needed you, you said no. We've done more than enough to accommodate you now you need us." "Scott, we needed to find out what's wrong with us," said Terry. "They gave you a badge and you feel you can do what you want," said Scott. "That's what's wrong." "Screw you, Cyclops," said Terry and she hit him with a focused sonic blast that knocked him out on the spot. "Terry!" said Marcus, alarmed at what just happened. He could feel the anger in her, the rage and he reached in to her mind and calmed her down. He could feel the anger building in himself, but he'd spent many years curbing his anger. He'd been highly strung in his youth. "Marcus?" she said. "I..." She looked at Cyclops who wasn't moving. "What did I do?" "Gave me a headache, so God knows what he's going to feel like," said Raven. "Look at the scans." It showed a spike in brain activity. "The toxin... once it deplete's it leaves the victim unbalanced," she said. "The kind of thing we feel when we're abandoned or hurt." "It wasn't easy to calm you," said Raven. "I let go of you, you'll slip back..." "It shouldn't last more than a few minutes," said Terry. "But we have to get back to SHIELD and find the others." "Ah'll call, you fly the shuttle, I just hope we're not too late..." "I'll just send this to the X-Force office," she replied and used the computers to send the data they'd compiled. She had a feeling they were going to need it. Marcus lifted Cyclops and left him on one of the beds. "Guess we're not coming back here?" "Not for a long time," said Siryn. "We're our own people now." "Weren't we always?" asked Raven and they left the X-Mansion, wondering if they'd ever come back. "Stop it!" shouted Pete, trying to separate the two women who were beating the hell out of each other. Kitty was a trained ninja, and Lydia was a street fighter. Both styles were doing a number on the other, as were the powers of each. Kitty phased to avoid being connected and get in close, but Lydia was strong and fast and she connected every now and then, forcing Kitty back. He pressed a panel. "I need security!" he shouted and hoped they'd get here soon. He really didn't want to have to use his hot knives again, but they'd not done as much damage as his words had. "Maverick, I need you out here!" Of course, as he'd crippled him... "Damn it!" He opened the door to Maverick's quarters where he was trying to put his pants on, but with an injured arm and shoulder he wasn't getting far. "You want to finish me?" he said, looking at his leader. "I need your help." Pete's tone was solemn. "This isn't us, Davey. I don't know who the hell we are, but we're trying to kill each other, and that ain't us." "What do you need?" "Can you shoot those two?" he asked looking at the girls. "What?" "Separate them." "Right," said North and fired a blast at them, knocking them both apart. "Good shot," said Wisdom. "Haven't fired yet," said North and then he passed out. "Shit!" said Pete, but went outside, where security had arrived. "He needs a medic," he said as they started to keep the ladies apart. "What do you want us to do with them now, sir?" asked one of them. "Not them. Us," said Pete and sighed. "Arrest us all."
